HoloLens, holograms and your real world

Holograms are physically intangible. We can’t touch them; however, we can view them from a distance and from different angles. Different angles give us a different perspective of the same holographic object just like how it works for a real object.

Using HoloLens, we can interact with holograms virtually, which internally applies the transformation to those light objects visible in the physical environment and we can see those objects changing. Holograms can be both 2D and 3D, depending on the type of object created, and it persists the position where it has been adjusted though the HoloLens. It will remain in the same position even if you leave the environment and come back or even if you restart your device.

Holograms will remain persisted in the same position unless you move them into other positions; this is known as Hologram persistence.
