Recording holograms – Mixed Reality capture

Using HoloLens, you can record what you are seeing through the HoloLens. We have already seen that HoloLens has a HD Video Camera that is used to record and share the visuals captured by the device. HoloLens' cameras allow apps to capture what the front-facing camera sees (real environment) and the holograms that you’re seeing.

To start capturing either Photo or Video, you can just launch the photo/video app from the Start menu:

Alternatively, you can ask Cortana to capture a photo or start recording video. There are other alterative options to capture MR video or photos from the Device Portal, which we will cover in a later part of this chapter.
